What is really terrible, is I would hate to be black living in the states. That is not a racist statement, it is the truth, so for blacks, the most dangerous country on the planet I would say is the USA.

My wife is a Philippine born Canadian and as such is a devout Catholic. I am a Anglo Saxon descendant, generations old naturally born Canadian but to the people of the Philippines we are both foreigners. That is what you need to remember if you are traveling with a Philippa who lives abroad. She will be identified as a foreigner so don’t count on that to protect you.

Follow the advise of others on this site of where to go and what to do and what not do. Meet her and marry her somewhere else in the Philippines if you don’t feel safe. You have given her a hope and a dream and made her fall in love with you then want to walk away.

If a mestizo (de sangley or español) married a filipina , she would lose her status as a ‘filipina’ and would acquire the legal status of her husband and become a mestiza de español or sangley. If a ‘filipina’ married an ‘indio’, her legal status would change to ‘India’, despite being of pure Spanish descent. I’m staying for a week and would like to know what to expect when I arrive. I try not to look at the dark side of things but the killings hasn’t ceased. Nevertheless something deep inside of me is saying I have to go.

I am looking to leave Mindanao as I cosider the threat as increasing due to British and American activities in the middle east pissing everyone off. Multiple studies also show that Negritos from Southeast Asia to New Guinea share a closer cranial affinity with Australo-Melanesians. They were the ancestors of such tribes of the Philippines as the Aeta, Agta, Ayta, Ati, Dumagat and other similar groups. Today they comprise just 0.03% of the total Philippine population.
